The best way to locate your HBA is to ask your supervisor. For many departments, someone on staff is designated and trained to be the HBA.
If your department or agency regularly works with the Business Services Center (BSC), then the BSC also serves as your HBA. If you are unsure if your agency works with the BSC, you can check the list on the BSC as HBA page.
If you retired from New York State or a Participating Employer, the Employee Benefit Division (EBD) is your HBA. Contact EBD if you have questions or need to make a change to your NYSHIP enrollment.
If you retired from a Participating Agency, your HBA will be with your former employer. Reach out to your former employer and ask to be directed to the HBA.
